Biopack Enters into Eastern Canada Distribution Agreement
Jan 13, 2010

HONG KONG--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Biopack Environmental Solutions Inc. (OTCBB: BPAC), a designer, manufacturer and supplier of 100% biodegradable packaging products, is pleased to announce it has entered into a letter of intent with Packaging Logistics Incorporated ("PLI") for distribution of Biopack's products in Eastern Canada. Biopack has previously announced a distribution agreement with Sonray Sales for Western Canada.

PLI, based in Ontario, Canada, is a distributor and manufacturer of post-consumer recycled pulp packaging. Through years of experience in successfully selling non-food contact packaging to large retailers, growers and food processors, PLI has looked to extend their offering into food grade packaging. PLI has also been a consistent advocate of lean manufacturing and sustainable packaging, demonstrating this through their green principles in manufacturing; having recently been awarded a York Region Environmental Leader of the Year Award.

"We are pleased to be expanding the distribution of our sustainable packaging products to Eastern Canadian customers through Packaging Logistics, a company that shares our commitment to excellence in products, sustainability and reduction of environmental impact through packaging," comments Gerald Lau, CEO, Biopack Environmental Solutions. "They have built extensive connections within the retail and processing sectors, and we feel that our product line complements their offering quite nicely. We see strong potential for future growth in Eastern Canada, the largest region of the country by population and consumption."

"It is incredible to see the growth of sustainable food grade packaging in Canada. At PLI we have a strong history of implementing custom biodegradable packaging solutions across sectors that displace plastic for our clients, their consumers and our communities," states Kevin Carter, Director of Marketing and Business Development for Packaging Logistics Inc. "With our recent letter of intent with Biopack Environmental Solutions we now have a solution for eastern growers and food services that the market has not seen before when it comes to quality, cost competitiveness and availability."
